The 8V series 16 groove tapered bushing pulley is used for 8V and 8V V-belts. They range in diameter from 12.5 “to 64.0”. Depending on the pulley size, they use U2 or W2 split tapered bushes, which we also have in stock. Most of our 16 groove 8V split tapered pulleys are made of high-strength grade 35 cast iron, which is phosphatized and painted to prevent corrosion. All these pulleys are balanced at the factory for smooth mechanical operation.

1. Impact of belt pulley heating:
After the belt pulley works for a long time, some mechanical energy will be converted into heat energy to heat the belt pulley. After the belt pulley is heated, the machine’s working efficiency will be reduced, the belt pulley will accelerate aging, and the belt pulley is easy to break, leading to safety problems.
Secondly, there are 3 main reasons for belt pulley heating:
1. Belt pulley material: The belt pulley selection shall be based on the matching material of mechanical running speed. Many customers have unclear requirements for materials and processes when selecting pulleys, resulting in the pulley being unable to keep up with the speed of the machine. Therefore, it is boiling to the touch, and the pulley required is more worn.

3. Belt pulley balance: there is runout when the belt pulley rotates. Usually, the pulley is not dynamically balanced. Dynamic balancing greatly influences the service life and service life of the pulley. If dynamic balancing is carried out, it can ensure that the transmission is accurate and slip-free.
Reminder: During equipment operation, belt pulley heating is standard, but it must also be kept within the normal range. If the temperature is too high, the cooling equipment shall be thoroughly cooled and shut down for rest. Regularly check the tightness of the belt and timely maintain the pulley.
